Byzantine Dreams, 2020 - 2026

I’m drawn to fleeting moments—instances that often reveal more meaning than they first appear to hold. Life is never static; it’s always changing. In “Byzantine Dreams,” the figures occupy a lifeless space, frozen in a calm stillness yet poised to burst into being at any second. That tension—the quiet readiness, a subtle edginess—shapes my figurative work. If change is inevitable, anything can go wrong at any time, and those in-between instants linger with a restless quality. Still, there is a quiet contentment in these transitory moments, waiting to be discovered.
